Most people think My Salon Suite is simply a smaller salon. Call me crazy, but I saw it as an opportunity to build the first destination in Hairadise. Many see My Salon Suite as a collection of private salon spaces. In my eyes I finally reached the shoreline.

For years, Hairadise existed solely as an idea. Yes, it was a place imagined through stories, rituals, and a philosophy rooted in reconnecting with ourselves, nature, and one another. I wasn’t trying to build a salon. I was actually building a world I could escape to in my free time.

Bringing that world into reality often felt impossible. How do you translate something that begins as a feeling into a place people can actually visit?

Then an opportunity appeared inside My Salon Suite of Stroudsburg.

And suddenly, what I know as the shores of Hairadise, appeared along the horizon.

Today, travelers can step into the very first destination in Hairadise. This is a place where the pace softens, conversations become intentional, and your hair is treated as more than something to style.

Welcome to the very first Hair Cabana.

Why I Chose My Salon Suite

I’ve been working in salons, beauty businesses, and education spaces for the last nine years.

Full service. Private salon and spas. Franchise, corporate, mobile you name it. But I wasn’t really in search of new places to work. Moreover, I was looking for the right atmosphere. Somewhere quieter and slower.

A salon suite offered something I had rarely experienced behind the chair: intention. Every appointment is scheduled. Every guest receives my full attention. There are no unexpected interruptions, no constant rush, and no pressure to move faster than the experience deserves.

That slower rhythm matters because our nervous systems notice everything. When the environment feels calm, so do we.

Why “The Hair Cabana”?

On any island, the cabana is where people gather after exploring. Where many go to escape the crowd, ease tension, relax and recharge.

And that’s exactly how I envisioned the Hair Cabana. A place along the shores of Hairadise. Not just a place to have your hair done, but a destination to support nervous system regulation and break away from the daily routines of life..

Designing the Space Around Hospitality

stories of the hair huna myth

Ever since I could remember, I have always been interested in design concepts. So I wanted to design this space intentionally to represent The Hair Huna’s Hairadise while giving off a similar vibe to a boutique hotel lobby.

Every decision I made relates back to the Legend of the Hair Huna and how the elements of nature are deeply intertwined.

Walk inside and you’ll find a feature wall with paradise green cabana stripes stretching toward the ceiling, natural bamboo and rattan textures, tropical plants, island-inspired music, handcrafted rituals, and postcards waiting to send you deeper into the world of Hairadise.

Every detail exists for a reason. Together they create the feeling I was searching for all along: an island escape tucked into the Pocono Mountains.

More Than a Salon

To me, this is more than just My Salon Suite. When you schedule an experience, you are not going to just another salon. You are checking in to a destination.

At the Hair Cabana, appointments become check-ins. Services become ritual experiences. And products become travel companions along this journey.

Because our Hairadise energy doesn’t end when you leave the chair.

A Prototype for Hairadise

Now, this isn’t the finished destination. Like I said, we’re just arriving to the shoreline. But one day, Hairadise may grow into additional Hair Cabanas, wellness retreats, educational gatherings, handcrafted collections, and destinations inspired by nature around the world.

Every journey has a place where it begins. That’s why this one begins here.

An Invitation

So if you ever find yourself in the Pocono Mountains searching for a slower pace, a fresh perspective, or simply a moment to reconnect with yourself, I hope you’ll stop by the shoreline.

It’s not just my salon suite. It is the foundation of a future wellness village where hair, healing, culture, and conscious beauty meet. The Hair Cabana is waiting.

Until then, I’ll save you a seat beneath the palms.

See you in Hairadise,

The Hair Huna
